About SchoolFix

Built for Kenyan schools.
By people who’ve sat in school offices.

SchoolFix is the complete CBC-ready school ERP — built by Wenla Systems to replace the spreadsheets, paperwork and disconnected tools that slow Kenyan Junior and Senior schools down. We’re here to give principals, bursars and teachers the same calibre of software a Nairobi fintech runs on.

Who we are

Wenla Systems builds the software Africa runs on.

Wenla is a Kenyan technology company specialising in enterprise applications — ERPs, CRMs, HR platforms, school systems, and NGO tools. SchoolFix is our flagship product for education.

Wenla Systems is a Kenyan technology company committed to helping organisations succeed in a fast-changing digital world. We design, build and support enterprise applications, ERP, CRM, HR systems, school and NGO platforms, API integrations, and cloud solutions that transform how institutions operate.

While rooted in Nairobi, our work serves organisations across Africa, Europe and North America. Our team brings cross-industry expertise — finance, healthcare, education, logistics, non-profit — into every system we build.

SchoolFix represents Wenla’s deepest investment in a single sector: we built it because we believe Kenyan schools deserve world-class software at fair, transparent pricing — not licence fees imported from Europe and converted to KES.

Global reach

Clients on three continents — Africa, Europe, North America — from a Nairobi base.

Proven track record

Enterprises, NGOs and government departments rely on Wenla-built systems.

Innovation first

Cloud-native, API-driven, secure by default — built on modern stacks, not legacy COBOL.

Security focused

Aligned with the Kenyan Data Protection Act and GDPR best practice. Your data is yours.

Our story

Why we built SchoolFix.

SchoolFix wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started with bursars showing us spreadsheets that didn’t balance, and principals printing report cards in Excel at 11 p.m.

01

The challenge we saw

Schools across Kenya were stuck with manual processes, disconnected systems, and software priced for European multinationals. With the Competency-Based Education (CBE) rollout, institutions needed modern, flexible, and affordable tools — but most of what was on the market was either too expensive, too generic, or both.

02

The system we built

We designed SchoolFix as a complete cloud-based ERP tailored to the Kenyan education system. CBC-ready report cards, KNEC pathway analysis, three-fund IPSAS accounting, M-Pesa and bank integrations, parent SMS notifications — one platform, one login, no licence-server nonsense.

03

The impact today

SchoolFix now serves 9 schools on paid plans across Kenya, with thousands of students billed and report-carded every term. Schools report saving hours every week, fewer reconciliation errors, and happier parents — while paying a fraction of what legacy ERPs charge.

04

Where we’re going

Our roadmap is shaped by the schools that use SchoolFix every day. Free trials, direct feedback channels, and short release cycles mean a feature requested by a Bungoma bursar in February can ship to every tenant by April. That’s the kind of partnership we believe in.

Our mission

To empower educational institutions across Africa with technology that simplifies operations, improves decisions, and enables growth — so schools can focus on what truly matters: educating the next generation.

Our values

What drives us.

Six principles that shape every product decision, support response, and code review.

01

People-centered

Software should serve people, not the other way round. Every interface we ship is designed to be intuitive enough that a bursar can use it without a manual.

02

Excellence

Every release is reviewed for efficiency, compliance and usability. We’d rather ship one feature done well than five done badly.

03

Trust & security

Your data belongs to you. Encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, never shared, never sold. Aligned with the Kenyan Data Protection Act and GDPR.

04

Innovation

We use cloud-native applications, modern API patterns, and engineering practices that keep your school’s system relevant for the next decade — not the last.

05

Partnership

We’re not a vendor. We’re a partner. Dedicated support, free onboarding, training included — because your success is the only metric that matters.

06

Impact-driven

We measure success in hours saved, errors prevented, parents reached — not licence revenue. Real-world impact is the only metric we celebrate.

Our team

Built by engineers and educators.

SchoolFix is a small, focused team — software engineers, education specialists, and support staff who know Kenyan schools from the inside.

Software engineers

Senior developers building secure, scalable systems on Laravel, Vue and modern cloud infrastructure. PRs reviewed. Tests written. Migrations idempotent.

Education specialists

Curriculum advisors who actually understand KICD, CBE assessment levels, and KNEC pathway methodology — so the system reflects how schools really work.

Support team

Real humans on WhatsApp, phone and email — not a chatbot. Most queries answered same-day, with onboarding sessions for every new tenant.

Our team brings cross-industry experience from finance, healthcare, education, logistics and non-profits — building software that works under real-world constraints.
